When Neville Longbottom had invited her out for dinner and dancing, Ginny had imagined something quite different. She hadn't expected to be in Longbottom Manor, gliding across the well-polished ballroom floor under the watchful stares of ancestral portraits.

"Well, she's a pureblood at least," a silver-haired wizard murmured to the adjacent portrait.

The austere, pale witch answered with a relieved sigh. "Thank Merlin!"

Ginny smiled as he drew her close, her gaze flickering to their 'audience'. "I think they're talking about us."

"There are no portraits upstairs, love," he whispered in her ear, his lips brushing softly against her skin.
