Snape stared at the spectacular golden necklace that Lucius had given Narcissa for Christmas.
Spectacular! It looked tacky.
He would never have given Lily something like that.
He would have given her a much classier necklace. He would have chosen a delicate gold chain with a pear-shaped emerald pendant. It would have complimented her green eyes.
He would have lifted her long red hair and fastened the necklace, brushing her satiny skin with his fingers. He would have bent down and kissed her nape, breathing in her flowery perfume.
Snape watched Narcissa throw herself at Lucius and kiss him.
