Prompt: Christmas pudding
“Your turn to stir the Christmas pudding.” Rose dangled the suet-covered spoon in front of the young man on the sofa.
“Shan’t,” Albus replied, burying his nose deeper in his copy of Advanced Potion-Making. “It’s superstitious nonsense.”
“It’s tradition!”
“Precisely.”
“But you must make a wish, Al. All the others did-even Scorpius, and you know how he feels about Muggle customs.”
Albus looked up. “And what should I wish for?” he said quietly, his green eyes intent on Rose’s beaming face.
“To find the ring I just slipped in, dear cousin,” she said with a grin, “before someone else does.”
