“Milk, brown sugar, treacle and butter.”
“Mixtum!”
BANG!
The smell of charred ingredients filled the house before he could vanish the cauldron or open the windows.
Quick steps announced Molly’s presence.
“What in Merlin’s name are you doing?” She tried without much success to stifle a laugh.
“Cooking, dear,” he quipped, feeling his face. Were his eyebrows charred as well?
“What are we having then?”
“Treacle Fudge!”
Laughter filled the room.
With a flick of her wand, the charred cauldron vanished and a fresh batch of fudge appeared on the table.
She kissed him and walked away shaking her head.
