Breathless, he races though a labyrinth of slimy dungeon passageways. Shouts echo and spells ricochet behind him. He slips in the darkness, falling onto a grate, slicing his hands and knees. He continues--he must; he promised her.
Spying the moon through a cracked window above, he stands on a crate and levitates it upward. The window shatters silently, and he slips through, sprinting toward the boundaries of the property.
Reaching the woods, he stumbles over logs and rocks, ducking branches. He tries to Apparate. Not yet. He crosses a cold stream, collapsing on the bank. He Apparates...to her.
