I am now in the market for a new motherboard, because the software for temperature protection is badly written. (The program comes with the motherboard.) I have changed the warning temperature setting and saved, but to no avail. I can set the warning temp to 100oC and the computer shuts off at about 65oC. Uninstalling the program doesn't work. The BIOS is setup to not have a shut down temp, but I have managed to get it to do so even before Windows loads. I have even tried uninstalling the program and removing the CMOS battery. I give up; so I'd like your help.

I'd like to know what brands and/or models are good. The motherboard should be Socket A and support AGP 8.0. It should support up to 184-pin PC2700 DDR SDRAM. It should not be made by Mach Speed because I don't like the one I have now. Anywhere you can point me will be very useful.
