I don't know that the carnival is going to pull through. Even Dumbledore didn't seem particularly excited. I'm sorry, Sirius; it would have been great fun to plan with you, but NEWTs are hitting in heavy and I've got to get things all planned for graduation.
I can't believe I'm almost all grown up and heading out into the world . . .
I certainly don't feel grown-up. Regulus really hit home.
I should put more faith in that boy. I always did before; he's just so dead-set in me having no faith in him I just question it all the time. Yet it came out right as I was at my worst. He's better than he lets on.
. . . which of course makes me feel just wonderful. *Sigh* Why is it I've turned more Slytherin? I guess the House just turned me into one itself . . .
Dear Mother and Father,
As classes wind down to a close, I've been in discussion with Uncle Alphard about spending part of my summer with him again. He did so enjoy it last time when I stayed for a while, and he'd like the company, I'm sure. Don't worry; I wouldn't be gone more than a month.
You can of course owl him for details and don't believe a word Regulus says!; I'm sure he'd love to hear from you.
Love,
-Andromeda
Dear Uncle Alphard,
I'm sorry to use you so horribly again, but it's the same situation; I'm off to see Ted and I need an excuse. He's having a terrible time with the disappearence of his parents, and I really should be there for him-- and his siblings.
I promise I'll stop by and make it up to you near the end of the visit. You are, after all, my favorite uncle-- and I am not just saying that so as to get you to lie to my parents if they get curious!
Love,
-Andromeda
