Up the River, Down the River

This last Saturday was a nice one, with high temperatures and low humidity. Since we did not have Oskar this weekend, Rosie had suggested that we do an outside activity together. After some discussion, we settled on a kayaking trip along the Farmington River. This River historically played an important role in small-scale manufacturing in towns

Sounds like a nice weekend =) Lately our outdoor outings have consisted of going to the beach where we boogie board, surf, lay in the sun, take pictures and look for tide pools. I really wanted to make an effort to do some summer camping and more hiking, but with Rich on crunch time thru September, and starting 6 day weeks this week, I try to encourage him to have as much fun as possible doing what he really enjoys (which is the beach).

I hope you get to take Oskar out next weekend - getting him into outdoor activities at such a young age is really good for instilling a love for it in years to come, not to mention that it creates good memories in general =) Make sure to post pics! Can't wait to see them!
