We were planning on camping this weekend too! I hear Monday is suppose to be better, so I am wondering if we can slavage the weekend and camp Sunday - Monday.

*shrugs* there is ALWAYS housework that needs to be done if we can't go! But it won't be as much fun...

Camping? or Housework? hmmm.... romanzseer September 1 2006, 16:41:39 UTC
Yeah, it looks like this is going to be a wet weekend for everyone.

Which is too bad.

I really wanted to treat Oskar to a nice camping trip...and while housework CAN be fun.... ;)

...Its just not the same to a five year old.

Argue, man! They can't even FORCAST hurricane's 10 days in advance! This isn't even some rain, it's WIND!!! I mean, come on! Not giving a refund for this is rediculous! It's hitting the border of N/S Carolina as I type, and Delaware isn't that far away. Even a weak hurricane has high winds, and that shit travels!

Argue?

Believe me, I tired.

They said that "it was unfortunate, but their policy is very firm, and outlined on their webpage." Their webpage does state that you need at least ten days advance notice to cancel.

It's a bunch of crap, but legally I don't have a leg to stand on.

Rest assured, I won't be going there if I decide to make another attempt.

That sucks about the campsite. Is it confirmed that the weather is going to effect your campground? No way you can salvage your trip? When I was little and we used to go camping, rain was the best part! Well, I hope everything works out - have a great weekend you guys!

Hahaha point taken ;) Oh well. How about, in an effort to make it fun for a 5 year old, you set up his tent in the living room, in front of the fireplace, with a fire going? Get one of those s'more makers at Bed Bath & Beyond, make some popcorn, etc and still make a day of it =)Oh, and of course, tell ghost stories!
