Make sure you call all three, as they really don't share information as they say they do. Equifax, Experian, and Transunion. Good Luck dealing with the bureaucratic insurance company.
Dude you just got now luck with cars huh? First the Saturn ends up on blocks, now this? I'm sorry to hear about this, but at least you didn't lose anything that can't be replaces and more importantly, at least no one got hurt (imagine if you had a car alarm and you went out to try to stop them). Not that there is much, but if there is anything I can do to help let me know.
Mean people still suck.romanzseerMarch 13 2007, 15:38:59 UTC
Yeah, it really does suck.
At this point, I am over the part about having someone steal from me, but I am still angry that I am going to end up with *less* of a car then I had to begin with.
Sorry to add more to the list of grief, but if you live in a residential area, and your car was stolen b/c of it's rareness/popularity, that means someone has been watching you/your car, and followed you home. They may know a lot more about you/your habits, your neighbourhood, etc than you think. I would change my locks and call the home owners association, if you have one
( ... )
Yeah, there is a good chance it was someone who has been shadowing me, or at least knows my routine. We have several throries, including: Shifty Neighbors, Random Car Theft, Followed me Home and then came back later to steal the car.
But the idea of someone watching me and my family definately is a possibility; and has Rosie pretty nervous.
I had my garage door opener in the car when it was stolen, and have already unplugged the thing. Since it was the only opener, we will probably end up having it replaced.
We are going to beef up the security on the condo, but getting a new car for me comes first. We are hoping to get a car with some security on it, but definately getting a "K-bar" for my next vehicle. Then the condo will get a new locks, and I might also install a wireless webcam.
But I am afraid it might be awhile before Rosie or I feel safe...
