Easter 2009, the last one before Danny leaves school. Remy has already finished. London, outside some prestigious and suitably upmarket estate agents, Chelsea.
Remy was fidgety as anything as he waited outside the estate agents, folding and unfolding his arms, tapping his foot, glancing about from left to right as he waited for Danny. He'd not

He smiled and slid an arm around Remy's shoulders, nothing but a sweet little embrace. "Hey babe. Waiting long?"

"Nah." He lied casually, brushing aside the wait of almost fifteen minutes as though it had been barely fifteen seconds. "Just got here. Ready to see what they've got for us?"
His heart was pounding in his chest, butterflies in his stomach at the sight of Dannys smiling, bristled face. Everytime they touched, electricity still sparked between them even after three years, and Remy utterly adored it.

Ridiculous, of course. The two of them went inside to meet the agents and check their options. Danny had something very specific in mind. A flat wouldn't do -- it had to be the flat.

"In addition, there is one property," The agent was saying, "Which has just come on the market. Two bedrooms, a modern development in Soho." He was showing them the information, and Remy raised an eyebrow, interest suddenly peaked. "I like the look of this one." He murmured to Danny, fingers running lightly across the typed words. "I mean, the Kensington one looks cool, but so does this one."
He glanced at the agent. "When can we get a viewing?"
"My colleague is showing a couple around in about an hour." The estate agent shrugged, having no reason to disbelieve their story that they were school friends - they both were quite sure that it was easier to just say that than to say they were lovers.
Remy looked to Danny, quirking an eyebrow. "Interested?"

A-ha.
So that was what was bothering him. Danny felt disconnected to his beloved Lion, and he hated it.

And he did! It was just that, generally, Remy's idea of connection was far more physical, and Danny's ideas of connection tended to be more along the 'hours spent talking over tea' route. Somehow they managed to strike a fairly even balance, Remy giving in to having his soul explored by the quiet Ravenclaw, and Danny sharing his considerable sexual talents with the eager young Gryffindor. However, having been apart for so long, neither had been a viable option, and Remy knew that Danny probably missed him on far deeper terms than Remy had yet explored.
"We'll make lemonade." He promised, "And lie in the garden, and talk until it's only the stars to hear us." And then, hopefully, Remy could at least coax him into sharing the shower. A boy had needs, after all.

Danny nodded. "And then I'll go home once it's dark, and do all my homework like I need to. It'll be a good day." They exited the park and ask they did so, Danny dropped Remy's hand. Too many people.

"I just...I like holding you..." He offered hopelessly, but the point was well gone now. Danny did not understand Remy's need to feel him, to absorb the heat from him into his own skin, to bury his nose in the curve of neck and shoulder and breath in that musky, heady cologne Danny always wore. Danny didn't understand how Remy's love for him burned brightest when they touched, when they kissed, when they felt. He understood it when they talked. Remy understood it when they touched. It was such a small difference - but it meant everything.
"A church." Remy mused, as they wandered around Soho Square, the afternoon busy with people getting lunch, going to sit in the pretty little park and enjoy the spring. "Look Dan, a Catholic church for you. That's a good sign, isn't it?"

He came to the bed and tumbled down into it, curling around Danny with the familiarity and practice of three years. His arm came down, tugging up the duvet, up and over them so that they were curled warmly up underneath it. "Better now?"
Danny felt so pale next to Remy. "I'm white," he whined, "and freckly. Ugh." The scars stood out vividly from pale skin, although no new marks were visible on the chest. That was a good sign. And then, in a softer voice, "I missed you, baby. Sleeping isn't the same, alone." Even Draven had graduated before Danny, leaving the young man completely friendless during his final years at Hogwarts.

He smiled sweetly, leaning over to press a soft, searching kiss to Dannys mouth. "If you're tired...and in my bed...does that mean maybe you'll stay the night?"
He sounded so hopeful about that, really he did. Remy wanted to sleep with Danny, to wake up with Danny, to talk with, and make breakfast with, and spend the whole entire day with Danny. He did so hope that the younger boy wouldn't be so eager to leave him behind tonight.

"You're so warm." And beautiful. And warm. "I just want to touch you. Is that okay? Just... for a minute." He wanted to be reminded of how solid and real their relationship was. Just for a little bit.

His own hands were stroking smoothly over the Ravenclaws back and shoulders, fingers travelling over dips of muscle, tracing familiar scarring and bumps of freckles or moles he knew so well.
"So glad you're here." He murmured, and tilted his head towards where Dannys lay against him, dropping a kiss into curling red hair. "I really am."
