Remy always liked this time of day best - early summer evenings, with the sun setting over London, still warm enough to have the windows open, but perhaps a jumper on too to keep off the chill. He yawned slightly, resting his head against the window pane and staring idly out across the rooptops with a cup of tea in his hands, a Pepper puddled only ( Read more... )

Danny poked his head out of the baby's room, where he had, of course, been tidying. "Tea? But I don't like tea." He blinked at Remy and dove back into the room, which he had been busy painting a buttery soft yellow. He'd decorated it all in classic Winnie-the-Pooh things, and the whole room was utterly adorable.

"Hot water. Lemon. Infusion. Whatever. It's getting cold." Being the good, generous, kind man that he was, the Gryffindor picked up said mug and wandered to the room where Danny had just peered out of. He leant casually against the doorframe to watch his boyfriend paint and tidy, and generally do very manly things that were usually Remy's reign. "When did you get yourself a painting thumb, eh?"

Remy, having assigned himself the title of manly-DIY-oddjobber, usually did the mechanical fixing and repairing and hard decorating work, but it seemed this time Danny was eager to put his tuppence worth into it too.

"Isn't it cute?" Danny beamed, oblivious to the streak of butter yellow that smudged his cheek. "I love Pooh. Don't you think it's a perfect baby room?" It did look cute, all soft and cuddly everywhere. Danny had done a good job really, a very good job. Soft blankets were in a white wooden crib they'd picked out together, and the curtains were plain but pretty. "Just perfect."

It was probably a better thing that this had been Dannys own little project - the idea of decorating the room before the baby was born had hit something uncomfortable in the superstitious lion, but now he thought it had probably been all for the better. The room was light, airy, comfortable, with a rocking chair in the corner for them to sit in with the new arrival, and soft toys, cushions and blankets everywhere. Their new baby might be an unconventional one, the magical son of two gay men, but it would certainly be wanting for nothing.

"It's gorgeous." Remy murmured and came to his lover, wrapping warm arms around his waist and pressing a kiss to the paintless cheek. No point mentioning it just yet - Danny was so proud of his achievement, and Remy loved to see him so delighted. "You've done a fabulous job." Even Remy could not have done the work better himself. "Only the best for our baby, after all."

"Pepper will say yes to anything if he thinks it'll get him some scratches." Remy smiled to see Pepper so content, tail thumping on the floor in paroxyms of doggy delight. "And I don't know what you're talking about. I made you blush last week in the park. Full on tomato face, you were."

His own bowl was drained and set aside, and Remy turned to lay himself out along the sofa, taking up the whole damn length with long body and longer legs, arms linked behind a lounging blond head. He watched Danny bend to Pepper, eyes drinking in the sight of his slender partner. "Gorgeous."Danny let his red hair fall to cover his face, probably due to the fact that he was blushing at Remy's mention of the park. "Shut up," he muttered. "You're hopeless." Pepper wiggled his agreement on the floor and wuffed at Danny's socks. The redhead giggled and moved his foot out of the way ( ... )

"And you're adorable." Remy leant forward then, capturing his lover around the waist and tugging him back to rest against him instead of leaning forward, away from where Remy wanted him. "Come here, you."

Hands crept down, tucking under Dannys shirt - and then tickling him mercilessly, the Gryffindor laughing as the redhead twisted against him, and then taking that very opportune moment to press a kiss to warm, soft lips. "Hi." He murmured, brown eyes bright. "Hi."

"No, I'm no-- gyaAH!" Danny bucked and twisted against Remy for a second and then relaxed into the kiss. When Remy released his mouth, the redhead was smiling softly. "Hi."

He loved cuddling like this, the two of them warm on the couch. Danny tucked his feet up and snuggled into Remy's side. "What're you so loving for, anyway? Is your brother coming over soon or something?"

Poor Matthieu's secret love of Danny had finally been made known to the redhead, and although Remy still didn't believe him, the Gryffindor was a bit more physically affectionate now when Matt was around.

"No!" Remy sounded indignant for a moment, incensed that the only reason he would be more affectionate to his boyfriend was because his little brother was coming over. He softened, though, looking a bit abashed. "Not until tomorrow, anyway."

Ah. Of course. Anyway, Remy just wanted a bit of affection, too. His hand stroked through Dannys hair, pushing it back off of the other mans face, and curling it around his ear. Remy knew how much Danny adored his hair and ears being played with.

"He already passed on staying in the baby's room." Matt was certainly a sweetheart - but as a strapping twenty-something now, he was perhaps a bit too old for Winnie the Pooh.
