The platform was packed with chattering, rushing, hugging kids and chattering, rushing, hugging parents saying goodbye to their offspring with both sadness and relief. Remy had said his own goodbyes at least twenty minutes beforehand and was now stood anxiously beside the carriage he had texted Danny to say he would be besides. After six weeks of

"Dan! You made it, you're here! How are you? Come on, let's grab a carriage before they're all taken, I'll take your bag, come on let's - how are you? Fuck, I've missed you!"
Did the boy not ever breathe?

"Yeah, sorry I'm late," he said, following Remy, but carefully not touching him. "I couldn't find things at the last minute, and then mother made me wait to say goodbye to Richard." With the bags on board, the two of them looked for an open compartment, and found one near the back of the train. Danny slipped in and curled up next to the window, hands clutching a book by Kant as if it were a talisman.

They ducked into the compartment and Remy lounged out on the seats beside Danny, head back against the head rest, feet stretching out onto the seats opposite. He smiled sidelong at the boy and gently rubbed his knee, warm and affectionate and more than happy to be back with this boy once more. "Hey. I missed you." He beamed, all of a sudden. "You're looking real good, you know. I love the hair - suits you!"

"Well fuck that for a game of soldiers." Remy grinned, and on impulse leant over, siezing his boyfriend around the waist and tugging him back to lay again his warm, solid chest. "Who needs to get cured from what we have? It's pretty damn good in my opinion." He beamed and ran his hand through Dannys hair affectionately, enjoying the weight of the younger boy against him. "The bloke's probably a repressed queer himself. Jealous of handsome young men like you getting what he can't have, is all."
The Gryffindor did not seem fazed by Dannys admission of what sort of shrink he was seeing. In fact, he was honestly quite amused by it - various thoughts of ways to reunite Danny with the 'dark side' were currently threading their way through his pretty head, bound to be full of afternoons and evenings spent in heavy, Silenced beds and locked rooms with pianos in. Well, it wasn't like Remy didn't like a challenge, after all.

"But we're not in public. And you love me holding you." He frowned. "Don't tell me they've got you believing that nutjob, Dan? I mean--" He floundered, "You're better than that!"

As for them not being in public... "Anyone could walk into this compartment at any time," Danny pointed out. "It's public. Nobody HAS to sit anywhere. So it counts." He let out a long sigh before running his hands through his hair. "I don't know what I think any more."

Relaxing into the seat, he sighed and closed his eyes. "You're right."

He slid slightly closer, slightly hesistant, unsure of how to approach his boyfriend now that his view of things had changed. "Can I -- put my arm around you?"

"... Did you have a nice summer? I don't remember."

"Yeah, I had a good one." His voice was softer, deeper, warmer with contentment. "Spent a whole bunch on the water, whole bunch with Zak and Jesse - whole bunch thinking about you. Pretty good, all in all." Remy smiled, very softly, just glad to be sitting here like this with the boy he loved. "Did you?"
