No pity for the pirates...

So I've seen a few people pop up, trying to defend the pirates who have been taking ships hostage, demanding huge ransoms, and who are now saying they're going to try to kill French and Americans in retaliation for our countries retaking ships

Funny how we in America say "oh, poor Somalia, pirates are taking their food aid" when in Somalia they say "yay, pirates!"

I read the article. "Its complicated" is a far cry from "yay pirates." I don't deny that there were some things they had a right to do, but they've gone overboard now. They've made threats or revenge and escalations that the leaders of their tribes and clans have asked them not to act on.

They stopped being excuseable to me when they stopped going after the people who were hurting them, and started going after as much cash as they could get.
