Rabbit Hearts moved to Munich at the beginning of April.
This was a perfect reason for me to host a private lolita meetup to welcome her. ;)
Vanilla,
teaspoonandcandy
(her blog is currently down) and a non-lolita-friend could join as well.
We went to the Stadtmuseum and visited the exhibition
"
Gretchen mag's mondän"
about women's fashion in Germany in the 1930ies. The exhibition displayed dresses, gloves, hand bags, shoes and
the covers of fashion magazins. Many items did fit the lolita aesthetics quite well and even had similar cuts or
other details like pleats, while other items were really weird (e.g. a coat made from monkey's hair)...
It was not allowed to take pictures of the items, but it was allowed to touch some sample fabrics:
We spent some time at the music exhibition of the museum. It was an interactive area with
a lot of buttons to hear music of a dedicated instrument and it was allowed to try out some of the instruments like drums. ;)
There was also an
exhibition with dolls,
but it did not have cute children's dolls, but creepy dolls from puppet theaters. We did not go there, phew.
It was already afternoon and we startet to get hungry. Honestly, it is quite difficult to go to
a restaurant in Munich between 2 PM and 6 PM, because most of them are closed...
We did not want to walk much because one of Vanilla's shoes has lost its sole. >_<
Sushi Sano would be open, but when arriving there,
we found that the inside was too small for our group of five. We went to the restaurant
Ni House instead, just two shops away... ;)
It had sushi, Japanese food and other Asian food like thai curry.
I ate Gyoza and the only-salmon sushi set. The gyoza were not the soft type
that I have eaten in Japanese restaurants in the past, but crispy and with a delicious sweet-and-sour sauce.
They tasted so good that I ordered them twice ;)
We went to two nearby Japanese supermarkets:
Feinkost Suzuki and
Mikado Feinkost.
Vanilla bought one fresh sweet pastry and she also found packed sweets,
Rabbit Heart found
ink and
a birthday present for her husband, the other two girls bought
ramune, among other things.
It was a very successful shopping for everybody ;)
Last but not least we went to the
item shop
because I wanted to show it to Rabbit Heart. It has merchandise for geeks.
I was surprised to hear from Rabbit Heart that they had non-original Hogwarts items ;_;
So Rabbit Heart and me might visit
Elbenwald soon ;)
Vanilla took a picture of my lolita outfit.
It was quite windy, therefore my hair looks quite messy and my skirt is bend to the side, haha.
