Watching the Fantastic Beasts movie in November 2016

Back in November 2016, I watched the movie "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" together with Vanilla, Kaninchenherz, her husband and my boyfriend.
Kaninchenherz wrote a blog post, too. ;)
The movie "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" was not about Harry Potter itself, but about Newt Scamander, who went to Hogwarts many years before Harry and wrote a book about magical creatures that is used as school textbook in Hogwarts.
You can read a summary of the story with spoilers on wikipedia (English, German).
We dressed up in Hogwarts house outfits, of course: ^___^

The picture was taken by Kaninchenherz's husband and edited by me

I (on the left) am wearing a Hufflepuff outfit: Hair pin   Handmade by unknown Earrings   Putumayo Hufflepuff pin   Elbenwald (via amazon) Blouse   DreamV Cardigan   "Heart ajour cardigan" by King Louie "Knitting and witchcraft" pin   made by Kaninchenherz, available from her AuberginenART etsy Skirt   "Aster Cafe" by Lief Tights   Teja Jamilla Shoes   Rieker
Vanilla (in the middle) is wearing a Gryffindor outfit with a dress by Metamorphose.
Kaninchenherz (on the right) is wearing a Hufflepuff outfit with a handmade skirt and Harry Potter merchandise.
I have seen the Harry Potter movies and liked them, but they were clearly made for a teenager audience.
I liked the Fantastic Beasts movie better because it is made for adults. ;)
I liked everything: the story, the characters, the outfits / the setting and the beasts.
My favorite beasts were the Swooping Evil (similar to an expandable pocket dragon) and the bowtruckles (similar to twigs of a tree).
I am not sure if I like the idea of a new story arc with five movies every two years...

The movie ticket costed 13,50 €:
8,50 € basic price + 3 € for 3D + 0,50 € for movie length over 120 minutes + 1,50 € for "top movie"

Did you know that the actress of Queenie Goldstein, Alison Sudol, was formerly known as the singer "A Fine Frenzy" and one of her song was Almost Lover...?

The cinema had a Fantastic Beasts paper display so that you could take pictures and pretend to come out of Newt's suitcase. ;) This was cool, especially because the cinema was a smaller cinema in the suburbs of the big city.
You can see Kaninchenherz's suitcase picture on her tumblr.

After the movies we went to a nearby all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant to eat and talk about the movie.
The all-you-can-eat costed 15,90 € (without drinks). I had sushi, different Chinese dishes and desserts:

Overall, it was a very nice day with my friends, a great movie and good food. ;)
