My fur trim is made of wool. Though it leaves sheep unattractive, it leaves them alive. *thumbs up*

I won't even look at the link, but is it the one where they skin the animals alive, throw them in a pile and they try to stand?

I almost vomited all over the place with that video. i'd love a crack at skinning the men who do that alive, I would.

so you watched the video after all?
if not, i think unfortunately they kill them first - they do show them skinnning what appears to be a dead cat. the saddest part is they say some of the animals still have collars on them - which means they were stolen/kidnapped.

no, I was talking about a peta vid I saw where they were skinning what looked like racoons ALIVE. They then threw the still moving animals in a pile and you can see one try to stand up, blinking at you in pain, for a while, skinless. That's the one that made me sick. If they kill the animlas in that vid first, they are actually FAR more lucky than the racoons were.

DEAD cats being skinned wouldn't phase me much, but ever since the skinned-alive vid, I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to look at ANY peta videos.

Umm. Unfortunately? If I were going to be skinned, I'd definately want to be dead first.

Seriously PETA can suck it. Do they actually think that these tactics help their cause?

what tactics? showing actual video footage of reality? what better way is there to do it?

im no vegan, i own a fur coat... but some things, like this, definitely cross the line into barbarianism and should be exposed.

PETA's agenda goes way beyond just protecting animal rights, they go as far to humanize animals to the point that people who eat meat should be demonized.

I eat meat, and I have no qualms about how animals are slaughtered (and if it's bottom basement prices you can pretty much bet it's not done humanely) so I can eat them. I make a distinction between animals that I eat and a pet that I keep, but if the same animal (cat, dog , guinea pig) is used as a food source (which they have been), I have no problem with it at all.
