There are two roads, most distant from each other: the one leading to the honorable house of freedom, the other the house of slavery, which mortals must shun. It is possible to travel the one through manliness and lovely accord; so lead your people to this path. these are actually various utterances attributed to Pythia-

I just have them in order of which i read them in-

But as a whole it's really beautiful if you read it as i have it-it almost as tho' they belong together as a whol-

I got these from : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Famous_Oracular_Statements_from_Delphi

Yes, I'm very interested in these as well. Where do you find them? I'm also interested in learning what modern Hellenic oracles have to say regarding the return of paganism, why it had to fall etc. That is, if they said anything. That last one sent a shiver through me.

i got these off wikipedia in the Pythia article there is a link for Famous Oracular Statements from Delphi. I was reading them from some of the ones they have-and the ones that struck me- i just gathered them-i didn't even realize how beautiful these read when taken as a whole-

The last one pertains to reign of Theodosius I, Christian attacks against pagan temples continued, reaching a head when the Emperor ordered that all pagan temples be shut. The oracle declared that last statement to the Emperor in 393 AD. Within two years the Emperor Theodosius was dead. Within 20 years the Western Roman Empire had fallen to Alaric and the Visigoths for the first time in 800 years and no further oracular statements were given.

I have been alil Pythia obsessed as of late.

That's okay, I've been reading The Emperor Julian lately. *smile* Also soul-searching and trying to get more into my religion. I love The Gods and want to get closer to Them. Actually made it a pledge for the secular new year.
