Interesting thoughts. I used to be Mormon, and found Moroni an interesting figure. I am now very, very much Pagan and find your approach to and ideas about Moroni rather thought-provoking.

But I not sure if I was forcing him to fit my pagan path by making him a nature divinity-or should i just accept him as he is, and what is written about him and working with that way...

Needless to say that i'm confused and lost....

Would it not be easiest to perhaps consider him to be in the category of Ancestor of "Legendary Mortal"? Both could be seen as fitting him and his story. Ancestors, of course, do not have to be your own forebears; they can simply be anyone who came before and has significance to you.

I think that is a good way also of working with him as an "ancestor", hero, and since he has some kind of significance to me, that would make sense as to try the ancestor angle.

i think taking him as he is and working with him in that fashion makes a lot of sense. if it doesn't progress, you can always go back to your 'nature divinity' theory, right?
which ever way you go it'll be interesting to see how it works for you.

why not just embrace him as he is, but perhaps keep the connection to nature that i was looking for-
