Meaning

English needs more words for love. One just doesn't describe things appropriately: what kind of love? Brotherly? Familial? Romantic? Covetous? Hot-headed teenage? The kind grandma and grandpa have for each other? Or the kind a child has for a pet or toy? One is inadequate as its implications are too broad.

Thus we have learned a bit about the English language from this musing. Some languages would have perhaps more variations on the word love, etc., but we use adjectives, usually in front of the word.
