Every year, at the end of our Memorial Day, there is a ceremony in Jerusalem to mark the end of the ceremonies remembering the fallen, and the beginning of the celebrations. It's a military service with the raising of the flag from half mast, and than the celebration begins ( Read more... )

This is a day late, but I was too tired and cold to post this last night.. Israel's Memorial Day is always the day before our Independence Day. It was set this way so we would remember that we have paid a price to have our state's independence.
