Well, first, I gotta tell the story.
We called my folks on Christmas day. I talked to my mom and my older brother, offering tidings of the season and good wishes. Warmth was shared, and it was considered good. Then my dad got on. Those who've known me a while can guess where this is heading.

Therapy has quickly become my saving grace these days. It's difficult to let go of the 'emotional hooks' put in us by our famililes, but by thinking better of ourselves than they ever did they slowly work their way out of us. You are a better person than your father will ever realize or think you to be. Keep on being the wonderful person you are. :)
