Xaria's Dimension Hopping

Title (for now): Xaria's Dimension Hopping
Fandom: DC!Pluss
Pairings: Umm there are more half pairings...if that makes any sense.
AN: This takes place in the latter part of DC!Pluss. In the timeline, it's about 2 months after Xaria and Dick get engaged. This is going to encompass DC!Pluss, 4-60-2, New Earth, along with 3 more universes.

Prologue: The First Step.

My hair has always been and interesting aspect of me. When I was born my mother told me my hair was this bright red color. By the time I had my first birthday it was half red and half purple. When my tenth birthday came around my hair was the 6 colors of the rainbow. Now that I am past 20 my hair has finally stopped changing but has about ten different colors in it.

Before I wore a wig, everyone thought my mom was a freak for dying her baby's hair. While we were running she kept it cut very short and always had a hat or wig on me. It wasn't till after the final change that I was able to magically control the color. Thankfully it doesn't take much power to do that.

Even thought I go by Prism my hair colors aren't the light spectrum. Its more the spectrum of nature and emotion. I like to call it the spectrum of life. Being a physical being of emotions is rather interesting. I don't fully understand half of my powers, and I may never. The one I know I'll never understand is my traveling through closets power.

I remember the first time I used that power. I was barely awake and my dad needed me to make some sort of appearance for his company. I had opened the door to my closet and when I stepped in to grab clothes I stepped into snow. I awoke quickly and somehow found myself to be in Russia. I have since found that each door has a default place it will take me, but if I use enough power any door can take me anywhere.

Today I decided to test the limits of this power. I honestly don't know what is going to happen to me. I packed a bag with clothes food and water, but I am hoping I don't need it. I told Tim and Damian that I am going to be training. It's not really a lie. I am training. I just have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that this is gonna cause all hell to break loose. I better leave a note.

Dear guys,

I know I told Tim and Damian I was training. The truth is, I am testing my powers. Ever since I learned I can use doors as a portal, I need to know the limits. I am praying and hoping nothing too bad happens, but with our luck, something will. I love you all. I'll hurry home.

Love,

Xaria

PS: Take care of Fringe-Kitty!

Time to go...

Chapter 1: Through the Door

One minute Xaria Wayne stood in her room the next she was in just inside the gates of Wayne Manor. She looked around trying to figure out what happened for a few seconds and then realized, this wasn't her Wayne Manor.

“Great, New Earth. I wondered why it was so dark,” Xaria said to no one.

She trudged up the hill to ring the bell. She expected Alfred to answer the door and an alternate form of her fiance to show up and yell at her...again. But nothing happened.

Xaria closed her eyes and concentrated on the emotional auras around the house. When she felt none she searched further out.

“By the goddess, the death here,” Xaria started.

She flew up and took off over Gotham City. She was in awe and disgust at the damage.

“What have Dick and Damian been up to here? Wrestling with jet packs?” Xaria asked no one.

She landed just in time to see Dick as Batman break from an Ice Block.

(A/N: Guess what it's Blackest Night!)

“Those rings up there need bodies. Our job's to see they don't find them.” Red Robin said.

“Exactly. Now we take what we've learned and use it - pass it on - so we can fight them tomorrow.” Batman said.

“Sounds like you could use a hand,” Xaria said.

Batman turned. Xaria could feel the anger from him, but she wasn't certain it was directed at her.

“Xaria...” Batman stated.

“Batman...” Xaria half mocked.

“What are you doing here?” Batman asked.

“Good question. I am needed here, apparently,” Xaria said.

“We don't need you or any of your friends you brought,” Batman said.

“I'm here alone. I stepped through my closet door and channeled my powers to take me where I am needed. I don't argue with my powers, and you shouldn't either,” Xaria stated.

“We are in the middle of a war,” Batman stated.

“When aren't you. Look, I don't know what you are all into now but usually in any war all help is appreciated besides,” Xaria turned and shot a bolt of lighting at a tree making it explode, “I think I got the better fire power.”

“We are fighting the dead,” Red Robin said.

“The dead?” Xaria asked.

“We'll explain if you can make yourself useful,” Batman stated.

“One trip to the bat cave,” Xaria said.

With a snap of her fingers she was no longer in her usual clothes and stood before them as Prism. She quickly levitated the trio and took off toward the Bat Cave.

“You've are so different from Jumbo,” Batman stated

“That tends to happen when you are raised by the Bat,” Prism said.

“How are your powers?” Batman asked.

“Stronger everyday. So Red, how's the search for Bruce going?” Prism asked.

“Kind of on hold for a bit,” Red Robin said.

“Understandable,” Before Xaria could continue the was an explosion from an ally.

“Down there,” Batman commanded.

Prism nodded and landed them outside of the alley.

Batman, Red Robin, and Prism carefully made their way into the ally. When they got to near the explosion there was a girl with rainbow hair, torn stage tux suit, and blue make up that was suppose to be her skin color laying there.

“It's Xaria Jumbo,” Batman stated.

“She is hurt,” Prism said running to her counterpart and kneeling by her.

“Ugh, what are you doing here, Goody two shoes?” Xaria Jumbo asked.

“Helping you,” Prism said and turned Xaria Jumbo on her back. She gasped looking at her. “You haven't evolved.”

“Evolved?” Xaria Jumbo coughed, “Your crazy.”

“It's past your 20th birthday, that explosion was you,” Prism stated.

“What are you talking about?” Batman demanded.

“I was told if I didn't evolve and accept my full powers before my 20th birthday I would die. Your Xaria never gained her evolved powers and so she is dying,” Prism explained.

“I'm not dead yet,” Xaria Jumbo growled out.

Prism sighed and ran to a side door and opened it. “The Bat Cave is this way,” Prism stated before levitating her counterpart toward her.

“You are not taking her to the Bat Cave!” Batman yelled.

“And leave her here to die? I thought you just said we have to save lives,” Prism stated.

“That doesn't mean take our enemies to the Bat Cave,” Batman said stepping close to Prism and glaring down at her.

“You may be the Batman but you have no power over me,” Prism stated.

“Fine, she is your responsibility then,” Batman said storming through the door. Red Robin close behind.

“He's right, you shouldn't take me there,” Xaria Jumbo said.

Prism closed the door then reopened it. “I wasn't going to.”

Chapter 2: Mommy, I'm sorry.

“Where are we?” Xaria asked once her counterpart took her through the door.

“A place we can get help,” Prism said. She was half carrying half levitating her counterpart. She just hoped that the person she was going to would actually help them. She quickly knocked on the door.

“This isn't Gotham,” Xaria started.

“No, it's Keystone,” Prism said.

Just then a blonde woman opened the door. She looked to be in her forties. Her face went from confusion to shock at seeing the girls in front of her.

“By the goddess, Xaria and Xaria. Come in quickly,” the woman said pulling them inside quickly.

Prism entered and put Xaria Jumbo on a cot. The woman left the room and came back with a pillow and blanket. She made Xaria Jumbo comfortable. Prism realized Xaria Jumbo had fallen asleep and changed back to her normal clothes.

“What happened to her?” The woman asked.

“She is dying. She didn't evolve her powers,” Xaria said motioning for her and the woman to leave. (AN: I guess I should warn with this story there is gonna be a lot of confusion between the Xarias)

“What do you mean?” The woman asked.

“It's hard to fully explain, but your daughter has a final level of power she needs to attain. If she doesn't then she is going to go up into a mass of confetti,” Xaria explained.

“So this is what that girl meant,” Kisha said.

“What girl?”

“Some girl came to my house about a year ago talking about how Xaria needs to evolve and open her true power. I never see Xaria and I couldn't find her, so I couldn't tell her,” Kisha said.

“Well we wont be able to do anything till she wakes up. Why do you have such a big house for just yourself?” Xaria asked.

“Funny you should ask that. You see, even though I have a degree in teaching, I run my own home business,” Kisha said rather proudly.

“What kind of business?” Xaria asked.

“Healing and herbal sales,” Kisha said. “I guess I should start from the beginning.”

“The beginning?” Xaria asked.

“When you got taken from me. It was actually over in Central City,” Kisha started.

“Central City? That's the first place I was actually saved,” Xaria said.

“Well, here you were taken from me. It seems so long ago...” Kisha Started.

Chapter 3: To the Past

“It's over my lovely wife. I have her and now she is mine,” Mumbo said. He hovered in the air over a fallen Kisha holding a young Xaria.

“No, please, not my baby,” Kisha cried.

“Mama! Help me!” Young Xaria cried.

“Hey Mumbo!” a voice yelled “This is our turf!”

Mumbo turned and saw the Rogues standing ready to attack. “So sorry to intrude, I was just leaving.” With that Mumbo disappeared, Xaria with him.

“Ria!” Kisha shouted. Kisha struggled to get up, and when she put pressure on her right foot she began to fall. She was caught by rough hands.

“Are you alright?” the voice from before said.

“He took my daughter,” Kisha cried clinging to the man's blue parka.

“Search the city, I'm taking her to the lair, it looks like she has a sprained ankle,” The man said.

The other rogues took off while the man lifted Kisha bridal style and began walking.

“I'm Captain Cold, but you can call me Len,” he said.

“So Mumbo took me in Central City. If he hadn't, those guys that saved you would have become my uncles,” Xaria said

“I probably would have made Piper your god-father,” Kisha said. “I didn't leave the room Len put me in for about a week. They didn't really know what to do with me. When I did come out, they offered me a place on the Rogues but I declined and decided to get a job and get a house.

I realized that even though I had a degree in teaching I didn't want to teach. So I took a job at an outdoor market and learned about herbs. It was then I started growing and selling my own. It was when Len took a last ditch effort to get me to join that I started healing people.

He took me to a guy named Gambi. This man had a beautiful outfit for me. They wanted me to be Knight Witch. I again declined, but I learned how Gambi had rules about keeping it to the outside. So I started healing. It didn't matter if they were regular people, villains or capes, they were welcome into my home for healing, food, or shelter. My only rules are no fighting, keep your business outside, and no crossing my line between the healing room and the living room without permission.”

“So that's why you're helping her,” Xaria said referencing to her counterpart.

“No, she is my daughter, I'd help her unconditionally. Just like the Rogues. Them I will hide even,” Kisha stated.

Before Xaria could ask another question there was a commotion from the front room. Kisha headed out with Xaria close behind. From the mirror by the door stepped out Captain Cold, Heatwave, Weather Wizard, Mirror Master, and Trickster.

“That explains the mirror,” Xaria said stepping out of the Rogues' vision.

“What brings you here?” Kisha asked.

“Making sure your still safe. You know about what is going on out there,” Cold said.

“Please, I'm perfectly safe, Len,” Kisha said.

“Some dead Rogues have been brought back, they might try to attack you,” Cold said.

“Then stay and protect me,” Kisha said.

Cold sighed and caught a glimpse of Xaria watching the exchange. “What the fuck is she doing here?”

“She is my daughter she has every right to be here,” Kisha defended.

“She is bat-shit crazy!” Cold shouted.

“And she is dying, Len!” Kisha shouted back.

“She looks fine to me,” Len said motioning behind Kisha.

“Oh her,” Kisha realized now who he saw.

“I'm not that Xaria,” Xaria said.

“Then who the fuck are ya?” Cold said, pulling his cold gun out.

Xaria smirked and stepped in front of her mother. She changed into Prism and levitated to meet Cold eye to eye. “I am Prism. I have been brought to your dimension, though this is not the first time I have been here.”

“Shit, your the cape version that keeps showing up,” Cold said

“That's right. Now if I am correct one of the rules of this house is no fighting. So I suggest we both back down,” Prism said landing and stepping back, though not changing back. Len holstered his gun.

“Kisha, what did you mean by she is dying?” Heatwave asked.

Kisha motioned over to the cot that held her daughter. The rogues saw the battered Xaria Jumbo that slept there.

“Kisha, I don't like her here,” Cold said stepping closer to Kisha.

“I know, but I have to try. Just like you need to go after the resurrected Rogues,” Kisha said. She patted Cold's cheek and leaned up kissing him on his other one. “Be careful.”

Cold nodded and just like they came, they left through the mirror.

“You have a thing for Captain Cold?” Prism asked with a smirk.

“Physical only, at least from him,” Kisha said leading her back to the kitchen.

By the time Prism sat down she was back to Xaria.

“I offered myself to him. Basically said its cheaper and more reliable then a hooker. I know he won't attach himself to anyone, so I take what I get,” Kisha explained.

“If that's what you want to believe,” Xaria said.

“What does that mean?” Kisha asked.

“If you really meant nothing to him, would he have come here, worried about you?” Xaria asked.

“He said I am an honorary Rogue,” Kisha said.

“Mom, I know what love looks like. He is in denial if anything. Dick was like that once,” Xaria said.

“How is that going?” Kisha asked.

“Well, we are engaged, and I know I am going to have two very amazing children,” Xaria boasted.

“I'm happy for you. I hope my daughter finds someone,” Kisha said.

“Just keep her away from Axel,” Xaria said.

Chapter 4: Healing and Locking.

Later Xaria and Kisha stood over an unconscious Xaria Jumbo. Kisha had taken the time to analyze both Xarias to assess what she had to do. There was a small table with ten different stones set in a circle. The stones corresponded to Xaria's hair.

“It seems the best way to do this is to completely lock her powers and then release them and teacher her one by one,” Kisha said.

“It means she will have to stay here for awhile,” Xaria said.

“I know. I will set her up in a room upstairs. My basement is currently occupied or I would place her there,” Kisha said.

“Occupied?” Xaria asked.

“Hartly Rathaway is staying there. After loosing James and the whole Rogues war, he was so emotionally battered, I took him in,” Kisha explained.

“I see,” Xaria said.

Xaria Jumbo groaned and started to wake up.

“We have to do this now, the power is starting to build up,” Xaria said.

Kisha started the incantation and one by one colors came up from Xaria Jumbo and into the matching stones. When Kisha finished the incantation Xaria Jumbo had stark white hair and slept peacefully.

“It's done,” Kisha said.

“But did it work?” Xaria asked.

“I don't know. But time will tell. Come, you never told me how you came to be here again,” Kisha said leading Xaria back to the kitchen.

“Well, would you believe I walked thought my closet?” Xaria asked sitting down.

“Yes,” Kisha said.

“Well that's what I did. I basicly thought “Take me where I am needed” and walked through. Here I am. And I know I am going to worry my family,” Xaria said.

“Well, if you follow the goddess, you may cause some problems,” Kisha confessed.

“Kisha I am sorry to intrude but...oh...” Hartly had come from the back hallway and stopped seeing Xaria.

“Oh, Hartly, come join us, what can I do for you?” Kisha said.

“Well, I was wondering if you had any more tea,” Hartly said, still standing in the doorway shyly.

Xaria got up and stood before Hartly. “Hello Hartly, my name is Xaria Wayne.”

“You are not from this world,” Hartly stated.

“No,” Xarai stated.

“Is James...” Hartly started to ask.

“He is. And he is your boyfriend,” Xaria said.

Hartly looked shocked and a bit hurt. He eventually sat at the table. Kisha set a cup of tea in front of him.

“James is gay in your universe as well?” Hartly said confused.

“No, but he realized, he loved you...well my you. I'm sorry, I can't believe he is dead here,” Xaria said.

“I can't believe it myself,” Hartly went silent after that.

“So, do you believe you are needed in many places?” Kisha asked

“I don't know. But I'm glad I came here,” Xaria said.

“I am too,” Kisha said.

“Excuse me a moment,” Xaria said heading toward the bathroom.

But when Xaria went to step out the the bathroom she wasn't in Kisha's home any more.

Chaper 5: Where is Xaria?

Tim and Damian had just finished their training session and were heading out from the training room. Tim started heading toward Xaria's room.

“Uh, Tim? Where are you going?” Damian asked.

“To go look for Xaira. She said she was going to train but she never showed up,” Tim said.

“Well she might have gone outside,” Damian said.

“Yeah, but she is probably done my now,” Tim said.

“Why are you so concerned?” Damian asked.

“Because she is my big sister, and I care about her,” Tim said.

“Hey! She is my big sister too! I care about her!” Damian said.

“Yeah well, I'm concerned, so I'm the better little brother,” Tim said and Ran off.

“HEY! You are so not!” Damian ran after Tim.

They stopped at the door to her room. The door was wide open and Fringe-Kitty was sleeping on her bed.

“Something isn't right,” Tim said.

“Her bed is made,” Damian said.

“Her laptop is closed,” Tim said.

“Fringe-Kitty is sleeping,” Damian said.

“Xaria went somewhere.” Tim said.

“And she didn't tell anyone...” Damin said.

Damian and Tim looked to each other with worry etched onto their faces.

“We gotta tell Bruce and Dick!” Both exclaimed together and ran off to Bruce's study. The two slammed the door open and almost fell into the room stopping only when they were on either side of Bruce.

“Dad!” Damian exclaimed

“Bruce!” Tim exclaimed.

“Xaria is gone!” the boys said in unison.

“Calm down boys. Why is this such an emergency?” Bruce asked.

“She was going to train...” Tim started.

“But she never showed up,” Damian continued.

“We went to her room...”

“Her bed was made...”

“Laptop closed and off...”

“And Fringe-Kitty asleep on the bed!” Damian finished

“Did you call Dick to see if they went out?”

“Not yet...” Damian answered.

Tim had already had his cell phone out and dialed his older brother's number.

“Hey Tim, What's up?” Dick asked.

“Is Xaria with you?” Tim asked.

“No, I'm still at work,” Dick answered confused.

“Do you know where she is?” Tim asked.

“Isn't she there?” Dick asked.

“No, that's why I am asking you!” Tim said.

“Did you try calling her?” Dick asked.

“...” Tim didn't answer.

“Try calling her, then panic, I'll stop by after my shift,” Dick asked then hung up.

Tim looked sheepishly at Bruce. Damian had pulled out his cell phone and was calling Xaria. He soon hung up.

“It says the phone is out of service...” Damian said.

“Alright boys, calm down. Would it make you feel better if I went up to the watchtower and scanned for her?” Bruce asked.

“Yes” The boy said.

“Alright, but you two stay here. I'm sure she just changed her mind and went out,” Bruce said heading down to the cave. But he didn't want the boys to know he was worried. Xaria never made her bed unless she was leaving for awhile. And she never left Fringe-Kitty behind.

When Xaria stepped out she knew immediately where she was. She was in the universe dubbed as 4-60-2, and she was on Xaria's deck at her cabin. But something was off. In a move of caution, Xaria changed to Prism.

Scanning the area she noticed that there were scorch marks, and obvious signs of a battle. She headed up the hill to the driveway and found large tire tracks, as if made by an off road vehicle. Knowing that none of Xaria's friends owned an off road vehicle, Prism knew this was very, very bad. Not to mention that Addy was nowhere in sight.

Xaria did the only thing she could think of, she took off toward Keystaria. Certainly someone there had heard from Xaria or Addy, or they were there, though Prism doubted that one a lot.

On her flight all she could think about was, why were her counterparts in such dire situations? What happened to cause Xaria Jumbo to never transform, and Xaria to get kidnapped? Were there other Xarias out there in danger as well?

Landing in front of the Prospect House Prism decided against knocking and opened the door. Len, Lisa, Roscoe, Mark and Digger were in the main room. Roscoe had a fork full of noodles half way into his mouth and then set it back down.

“Oh yeah, I meant to tell you Xaria's counterpart was going to be showing up,” Roscoe said nonchalantly.

“You couldn't have mentioned this earlier?” Len asked.

“I didn't know when she was going to show up...and I don't know why either so ask her,” Roscoe said and went back to his dinner.

The group minus Roscoe looked to Prism expectantly. Prism stepped further into the room.

“Xaria and Addy are missing,” Prism said simply.

Everyone looked at each other.

“How do you know this?” Lisa asked.

“I just came from her house, there were scorch marks, and large tire tacks,” Prism said.

“Mark, head over to Licho, Digger, call the Iceburg Club to let them know in Gotholm, Roscoe, Lex is leading a protest somewhere in Keystaria, clark is with him, I am going to get Wally to go get the guys from the Vindicat, Lisa I want you to...” Let was cut off by Lisa.

“I'm going to take care of our guest. Prism you look exhausted when did you last sleep?” Lisa asked going over to the rainbow haired hero. The others took off their separate ways.

“It was...well I left my dimension around 2pm and got to New Earth where it was at some point in the night, and I left from there around 4 in the afternoon so, awhile,” Prism admitted, “But I'm fine I've gone without sleep before, Kinda have to in my line of work.”

“No, your taking a nap, it will take a while for everyone to gather,” Lisa said.

Lisa grabbed Prism's arm and pulled her off to a spare bedroom. Prism was surprised at how easily she followed.

“I must be more tired then I thought, I guess using my transporting powers drains more power then I thought,” Prism thought.

“Now, power down and take a nap, we'll wake you when most of the people are here,” Lisa said.

“As long as it isn't Bruce, I'm scared to wake up to him here,” Prism said powering down.

Lisa laughed and left the hero to sleep.

“I don't get it! Xaria wouldn't just disappear without any notice!” Batman shouted, mostly at the computer in the Watchtower, the rest at it's operator Superman.

“I don't know what to tell you Bruce, The computer says she isn't here,” what Superman wasn't saying, that Batman knew, was it wouldn't detect her if she was dead.

“Keep scanning, she has to be somewhere,” Batman headed off back to his cave. There was one more option that he REALLY hated to use, but he knew if anyone could find Xaria it was Him.

~~~~~^_^~~~~~
“Joker please shut up!” Batman said.
“Aww but Batsy! This is the first time you told me you needed me! You don't know how long I've been waiting for this!” The villain turned Grim Reaper said.
“Xaria is gone! The watchtower can't find her!” Batman shouted. His worry for he only daughter making him loos his cool.
“What? That's impossible. People don't just disappear. Leave it to Addy and I we will find her,” Joke reassured.
“You better, we haven't told Dick yet,” Batman said, gaining his cool back.
“Good luck with that one Batsy,” And with that Joker disappeared back to the 3rd plane.
“Find her Joker, find her and tell me she is alright,” Batman said before heading back to let his boys know what was going on.
By the time he was back up in the manor, Tim and Damian were nervous wrecks. Tim was pacing, and by the look of his hair he had been running his hand through it a lot. Damian was curled in a ball by the window chewing on his thumb nail. Alfred stood by helplessly. A tray of two mugs with cooled coco was on the table.
“The Watchtower computer can't detect her. Joker is checking with the resources of the 3rd plane. We will find her,” Bruce said. None of them felt relieved.
“She is really gone?” A voice from behind Bruce said.
“Dick,” Bruce said turning around to see his eldest, “She will be found.”
“Your right we will. We are detectives. This is what we do,” Dick said spinning on his heal and heading for Xaria's room.
“Dick the boys were already there,” Bruce said following after him.
Tim and Damian exchanged looks and followed as well.
“I don't care,” Dick said entering the room.
Fringe-Kitty lifted his head to look at his “daddy” who started looking around the room. Bruce stepped in as well to look around. Tim and Damian stood in the doorway.
“Hey Fringe,” Dick said and pet the black cat.
“Purt,” was the response from the feline.
That's when Dick saw the paper. Dick carefully pulled the folded paper out from under the cat.
“Fringe-Kitty is hiding evidence,” Dick said holding the note up. He read it himself before passing it to Bruce.
“So she could be anywhere,” Bruce said, once he finished reading it.
“What's it say?” Damian said.
“She is testing her door porting powers,” Dick said.
“So why can't the Watchtower computer find her?” Tim asked.
“The Watchtower is set to only scan Earth. She might be on a different planet,” Bruce said.
“No she isn't,” Jokers voice came from behind Tim and Damian.
“AH!” Both boys screamed and grabbed each other. Bruce simply lifted an eye brow at the boys.
“What do you mean?” Dick asked.
“If she were still in this universe the 3rd plane could find her. The computers are saying Xaria Wayne doesn't exist,” Joker said.
“Then where is she?” Damian asked.
Everyone looked at one another. No one had an answer.
