It's really not nice to laugh when ChiChi tries to jump up onto the bed, misses, and falls on the floor. That doesn't stop me from doing it.

I'm starting the process of going back to school. I would have registered for classes by now, but parking services claims they never got my payment for a parking ticket (even though they cashed the check), so I'm blocked til I get that sorted out. And that's what's going on with me right now. Muy boring.

I got a new sewing machine from Liz's boyfriend's mom the other day, and I've been having way too much fun playing with it. It makes swans! Tonight I made a skirt out of an old pair of jeans ChiChi decided to snack on last month, complete with decorative yellow stitching on the seams. Very exciting. :)

Baby-sat tonight, and the little girls kept trying to lick my dog. Um, no. Oh, did I mention I got a dog? Probably not, I never update this thing. Bad Lynn. Three-year-old mutt from the SPCA. By tomorrow at 11, I'm supposed to have read the Prologue to The Canterbury Tales, along with the Miller's Prologue and Tale, and the Wife of Bath's, plus Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, one or two other bits and pieces, and, oh yeah, THE ILIAD.

Right. Here's hoping Sparknotes.com still exists.

Right. So. Things are going reasonably well. Other than the part where I'm not getting accepted to any of the schools I applied to, but then I didn't ever really think I would. The UT audition went really well, so that's good. Best I've ever sightread in my life, I think.

And now I wait.
