I would advise you to have a talk to Catherine Lang regarding the Dip.Ed stuff... while she's done B.Ed, she might be able to give you some advice etc on what to consider in terms of courses etc.

B.Ed is certainly a nice thing to have in any form of academia though. It might be worth finding out what Uni's/TAFEs allow or have articulation programs though, so if you decided you wanted to later go on and do a full B.Ed part time, you could add that on after getting some exemptions having done Dip.Ed.
