I have a question. Was the name of the Potomac River derived from Greek? You know, like hippopotamus? Unless I'm mistaken, hippo means horse and potamus indicates either water or river. In any event, if there is a connection I believe that I have lost even more faith in the founders of this country. Or the explorers who named everything and
