Last night my sweetie and I watched the last episode of Battlestar Galactica. I have to say that I was simultaneously satisfied and a little disappointed.
Actually, Scrith and I heard Angel Baltar say "You know It doesn't like that name." Which, to me, makes it even more open to interpretation. LOVED that line.
We also had mixed feelings. Slimey and yet satisfying...you know?
I wasn't satisfied with Kara being an "angel". I'd rather she was a cylon as well. They didn't really satisfy the whole 5 cylons can reproduce when the other cylons could not. I mean, the 5 were reincarnated into cylon bodies. Cylon bodies could not reproduce, but Galen did. Which, btw...whatever happend to Galen's son...why didn't we see him with Galen at the end...HUH???? Were we to just assume son was with Galen or did I miss something in a previous episode?
Oh well...can't keep the questions going too much more. :) I'm a bit leary of "Caprica" coming out this fall. Looks like it's going to be more of a drama show instead of a scifi show. Guess that's what SyFy is gonna start leaning more towards...just another NBC channel.
You must have missed something. It was shown that that *wasn't* actually Galen's kid - Callie had had a fling with Hotdog. The last time we see the kid is with Hotdog in the next-to-last episode, in the Memorial Hall (the one with all the pictures).
OOOOOHHHHHH!!!! Totally forgot about that issue. Plus didn't recognize Hotdog and the boy in that Memorial Hall scene. Shows how good our memory is. Oh well.
I just finished watching the finale and I think I agree with you. The final piefight was totally sweet. RAMMING SPEED! And then rappelling down the outside of the ship. That ruled. And yeah, Cavil has been a total hardass from day one and then all it takes is one impassioned speech from Baltar and all of a sudden he decides to negotiate? That stretched believability.
And the second half of the episode definitely seemed rushed. I didn't necessarily want everything tied up in a nice neat bow, but it seems like there was a lot of stuff that should have happened between each scene. It was a logical flow, it just was just that it felt like the writers were running around for the last hour of the show madly tying up all the loose ends. It was adequate, but I think they could have used at least another few episodes to really flesh it out.
