Classtime = hideous at 3pm on a Friday afternoon. I have to get drunk tomorrow to make up for it.
But but but, the point:
Dear Mai, You have a terrible habit of putting yourself down when your writing ability is nothing short of something we subhumans like to call sheer talent.
Also, you used Shakespeare. *froths at mouth* Ophelia, nonetheless. Nicuuu!! And Hidan's segment is so utterly creepy. The placement of it midway works extremely effectively in that way (at least for me), and the way the narrator is fascinated despite what Hidan is saying
( ... )
Seriously, if it weren't sleeting and frosty out and I weren't broke ten ways to Sunday, I'd be out there. Drinking. I have half a mind to drink by myself, but this is why self-control is a beautiful thing.
Physical action? Well, I suppose the characters are a bit more active, whatwith the murder plots and the knife-waving and the casual drinking. I mean, they're not just lounging about languorously indulging in ennui and things. Improvement!
That's possibly the weirdest thing you've ever written, but also quite possibly my new favourite.
It was so... colorful. That's the only word that's coming to mind right now. Your GHEY stuff is often sepia-tones or black and white, but this was much more... hmm. Visceral? Dammit, unlike you words seem to fail me.
Anyway. I have to mention before I forget-- OMG SIMON AND GARFUNKEL REF. ♥ FUCKIN' EH. ♥ Seriously, I squee'd off my chair when I saw hazy shade of winter, I seriously did. If that's on the soundtrack you mentioned, I can't wait. XDDDDD
You know, it's strange that you should bring up colors. When writing this, I was under the distinct impression that in accordance with the winter theme, the story would mostly be sketched out in charcoal and shades of pale, with splashes of red here and there. But on re-reading, I see now that each individual scene seems to have laid claim to its own color scheme. Fic mutiny! XD
A cookie for you for picking out my lyrical ref :D Sure, I could include it on the soundtrack, if I come by a version I really like.
Like the Blond in the Akatsuki scene (that part made me giggle), the green in the well scene, and Hinata's red lips... yeah. Lots of colour! Pretty, or in some instances, gross! That blood-laced brain business made me squicky, good job.
I get fic mutiny all the time. Pretty much every time, actually. They usually have better ideas than me anyway, though, so I don't mind. XD
And. I just realized something. I'm listening to the Bleach Beat thingy, Ishida singing. And it just dawned on me like two seconds ago that Ishida seiyuu = Sasuke seiyuu. And that therefore, I am listening to Sasuke sing about 'aesthetics and identity.' I am dead of hysterics.
oh my god, this was beautiful. Honestly, I love the style in which you chose to narrate it, I love the different voices, the differents scenes, textures, ideas. You are scarily talented. ♥
Our mostly inane conversation repeated broke my brain and sucked away all my ability to be useful for this night. See these scattered pieces? YOUR FAULT! ♥

I am going to use this as my cookie to write my annual report for the church (argh). So I'll be back soon.
And we have snow too.

Also, is that the best thing ever? I think it's the best thing ever, but there're so many of those running around these days...
