Oh, so cool!! I loved the angst and the h/c. The inner ear infection sounds really rough. I can sympathize with Lorne and being without his dominant hand - loved him and John talking in the office. John going to the museum and realizing he wasn't alone was awesome. Superloved John going all soldier against the Wraith attacking Lorne. Super awesome fic and thank you!!!!
Phew, thank goodness for that- you liked it! I thought definately that John would have issues when he next saw a wraith tryying to feed and then fighting one. Hope your arm is getting better.
There aren’t enough good Post-Phantoms stories out there, and we need more. Especially for Sheppard. He really had phantoms to deal with and there had to be some after affects from that experience.
I really like the angle you took here with him coming down kind of hard and the dark depression that shrouded him.
You're so right- more episode tags needed! So much angst here not made use of by TPTB. Not just for Sheppard but for Beckett too. Whne i saw this programme on TV about art for heroes and the Chicago Museum I knew i had to do something with that and prodded Lorne into action to do so. Thanks for reading and enjoying.
This was an amazing aftermath story. I loved how it looked at both psychological and physical ramifications. The scene with John sitting in Heightmeyer's office just trying to get a moment to himself to sort things through was heartbreaking. And the sort was able to look at John's darker side while staying very true to character. It was a well-crafted character piece.
The use of Lorne was excellent as was the resolution.
Late or not, thank you for commenting and i'm glad you enjoyed it! I think John's entitled to a little bit of a white out now and then. I left it ambiguous as to whether he knew he was in Kate's office. Some parts i'm not enitrely happy with- time ran out on me. But other parts wrote themselves ( ie Lorne). the conversations in the dark was a fic snippet that ran out of steam and i decided to add it into this fic because i thought he was owed some payback for fighting the wraith after Common Ground etc.
