It is a well known pre -occupation of the British, in fact the weather is one of the few things it issocially permissable to talk about with a total stranger- say the people you have lived next door to for 10 years. Today for example it was warm and sunny, most of us were intending to dig up the tomato plants and perhaps rake a few leaves up,

Yeps, we Brits are Very Suspicious of good weather. Took me a year to rely on day after day warmth and sunshine here for most of the year. :)
