I remember the fuss that see through cube loo made when it was first erected in Nodnol. I'm not certain I could actually use it even if I was desperate.
I had to use one of those ones on the train with the big curved door, it was that or wee myself. I hate them cos it's hard to tell if they are locked or not. I asked someone to guard the outside. It wasn't much of a relief and I'd been holding it for over an hour on the previous train which hadn't got a working loo. the trains were minutes apart so no time to go in station. I was in pain
There's no rewarding clunk as a mechanical lock is engaged. There's just a little glowing locked button. Doesn't make me feel certain it's locked. The loos with the normal door and a mechanical lock are too cramped to feel comfortable either.
Yeah, the glass toilet is truly scary... There's a place where I occasionally drop off archaeological samples - they have a lovely wine bar/eatery for lunch, but the doors of the toilets are opaque glass and very unsettling. You can't really see through them, but... It's still not pleasant.

I never have it when the world is a calm and serene place

And I could NOT use that toilet. Not in a million years.
