We found out last week that my mother has breast cancer.  We found out today that it's in her lymph nodes which means she'll have to have a mastectomy, then lymph node removal, then chemotherapy and radiation, and even still they can't give us more than a 60% survival rate. Everything you're feeling is so natural. Just be there for her and love her. Be positive and supportive. You will not drop the ball. You are strong and independent and everything your mother taught you to be. You'll make it through.

You are your mother's daughter. She raised an amazing, strong woman. I know you'll figure out how to navigate this, because you love her.
