There's so much energy in this piece! And an undercurrent of other things too--Hibari seems irritated and jealous over the method his sleep was disturbed, and not just the usual annoyance that someone disturbed his sleep. *fufufu* There's also that undercurrent of eagerness to fight each other for real and see just who IS the strongest--because in canon they're certainly curious about each other, like they're waiting for just the right opportunity. :D This was highly enjoyable!

hehe I'm glad you caught onto that :) I tried to sneak in that there was more than just the usual that made him annoyed <3333 I see so much undercurrent in the canon about their curiosity for each other, especially on Hibari's side, since he seems to view Yamamoto as more than a capable fighter. It's hard not to make that connection, especially when he makes statements like "this is Yamamoto Takeshi" (as if he'll get beaten LOL) during Yamamoto's fight during the Choice battle
