Why would you see life a a comedy? A comedy has the element of a happy ending, and we all end up in the grave anyways. Of course, you could see it as release, but life feels more like a tragedy with bits of humour in it.

The picture of corpses oddly brings to mind da vinci dissecting the corpses to learn more about anatomy - just a random thought.

Because if one doesn't catch the hilarious bits to laugh at one will soon go mad when one considers living as it is, in all the splendour of its annoyances. Comedy doesn't necessarily produce a happy ending, though I concur that most do.

I think comedy and tragedy are close cousins - Venn diagrams, perhaps.

I've read a compelling biography involving dissection. Okay not really, it's about surgeon Astley Cooper but they do the dirty work too right? Druin Burch's Digging Up The Dead.

And oh look I'm back early from Malaysia. So...when do you think would be a good time to head over to the bookshops or something? Preferably before conscription?
