In response to my serpent warden PM

"Sorry there was an event that I was completely focused on then I took a bit of a vacation. I will bring your concerns up during the next Warden meeting.

Looking it over, some of it may work while others well, not so much. Or not on this list.

But thank you for sending them in. I am always in the market for new ( Read more... )

I dunno, I think that's a fair response. It basically boils down to the idea that they have to balance stuff against the other classes, some things might work great in their system while other things aren't what they're looking for, but they hear you that there are better options out there. Also, they need to discuss shit as a staff, which slows things down, but prevents anyone of them from going off the grid and ruining the game.

It's ambiguous, sure, which is a little frustrating when you have good suggestions to make stuff better. But I definitely don't think you got boned. Even if they can just take to heart the idea that the serpent list right now desperately needs help, I think you won the battle.

Hey question for you since I don't know how you work. Would you be ok if I added some comments and suggestions of my own and bounced your list back off of you? If so, I'd love to do that and give a printout to Fletch to try to push for them actually bringing it up when the Warden staff meets. Is that something you'd be down with?

I guess i would have liked to see some enthusiasm on her part, i klnow shes busy as hell with the game, i just felt kinda form lettered, i also dont thin they believe there is anything worng with their list and i think this kinda pushed that to me a little more.

My only basis for these types of experiences are bad memories, so i may be jumping the gun.

i have no problem discussing/ debating/ arguing over my ideas :) Criticism is welcome and appreciated, it helps keep my head fitting in the door

Honestly, coming from AMY especially, that's a fairly upbeat response. She comes across as lukewarm on most things, even if she's really excited about them.

I concur. I think she comes from the camp that believes email and PM are best made emotionless to avoid misunderstanding. The few times I've had to go back and forth with her on an issue it was like talking to a SPAM bot. She also deals with dozens and dozens of emails and PMs from Nocturne and can't handle it as her full-time job. Now consider a lot of those PM's come from the entire range of Nocturne personalities and you have a great reason to be email bland!
