I feel like the underlying trend here is maybe less about the money itself - though that can always be a frustrating issue - and perhaps more about the feeling of thinking you're making progress, and then slipping and falling backward. That's a feeling I can understand all too well. But you know? That happens. It happens to all of us, especially when other aspects of life are kinda shaky for any reason.

Don't put yourself through the ringer TOO hard. Seriously. Even if you fucked up, well, take a lesson from it. You didn't kill anyone. Like you said, you're not completely screwed for life. You can rebuild the savings, and whatever progress you feel like you made you can make again. Usually it's a little easier with a learned lesson in hand, even though it sucks to walk back up a hill you just walked up a minute ago.

But, then again, that's my take. I could always be off base. In the end, if you're frustrated with yourself, that's ok. Just don't be too hard. Let it happen, take stock, and start trucking along again. :)

Plus, you need to learn to budget. Like right now.
You're living rent free but won't always be.
Plan how you make mone and how you spend money.
Inlcude money that goes right into savings.
Include a "fun" section that can go to movies, music, etc.
Learn from this and stop being a wimpering pussbag.
