One of the more irritating things about the area I live in is the annual Independence Day fireworks show.

I live nearby a river, which is normally quite nice- but in this case... the fireworks they shoot off over it are absurdly loud. Even in my study, with its thick, noise-canceling walls, the booming still hurts my ears and gives me a migraine
