In and out of Room 1408

"1408" is thrilling but random. Three different themes are presented, but none are developed enough to make an emotional impact. This isn't surprising because the source material is a short story Stephen King wrote to have fun with hotel room scenery. The film adaptation seems to be a training exercise for something more meaningful. I recommend ( Read more... )

"1408" lurked around in my brain for a few days after I watched it and I meant to pick up the short story since it intrigued me so.
And then it completely slipped my mind. Thanks for reminding me. :D
