I love this. I've been wanting Tyler and Carol to have some king of interaction. Since it's just them now, too much to ask to see Tyler with him Mom I guess. This was great. Well done.

I'm so glad you enjoy this and it worked for you! And I agree, there should be more interaction. A lot of the parents in Mystic Falls seem to be clueless now, which wasn't how it was last season, sigh. But anyway, thank you! I'm glad you liked! :D

Oh man, you're tugging my heartstrings with this. I like the subtleties of Vivien being the alpha until her death, at which point clearly Richard fought his brothers for the position and apparently did not win.

I have enjoyed Tyler SO MUCH this season - more than I ever thought I could have considering the first season. Michael is incredibly talented and very expressive, which I had no idea of the first time around. And I agree, I doubt Carol didn't know - especially considering how she carefully seems to not take sides against Richard and how much she has blossomed, what little we've seen of her this season. I think it could have been read as a classic abusive relationship, but I really think she knew - and knew better than to test the boundaries/rules.

I am so glad you enjoyed this! (Especially the OCs, I was really worried about how people would take to them) I've really enjoyed reading your interpretations of everything, it's really fun to hear what other people think. The story itself is pretty ambiguous because it's from Carol's POV and she doesn't know the whole story, so there's more to that fight than meets the eye :D

I think I’ve always loved Tyler a little bit. He was a bit of a jerk, but I could see his layers and he had some hilarious lines. But this season has been wonderful to watch him grow into this new role in the story. And yes, exactly! Plus, Carol knew about the council, so I doubt she didn’t know about the curse. Your interpretation is on the money, she knew better to test the boundaries and didn’t want to upset the status quo.

Oh, this really makes me feel for her. It has occured to me before that it couldn't be easy married to Richard Lockwood.

I'm so glad it made you feel for her! It took me a bit, but I really got around understanding what made her tick with a lot of head canon and yeah, I don't think it was easy for anyone living with Richard Lockwood.
