Just think of them as extra layers of insulation against the cold weather outside (the paint on the outer walls, anyway). *grin*

The joys of home ownership and the inevitable renovations! Oh yeah, in case no one warned you yet, it NEVER ends! SO just enjoy it or it will make you nuts! It is amazing what spackle and paint can fix!!!
