The symbolic value of a united front can still happen. After she talks to your siblings, you can talk to her and let her know you completely agree with them. I would coordinate with the sibs, of course, but just because you're not physically there doesn't mean you're not present in intent and ability.
Holiday travel is tough and work realities have to be factored in. I still feel bad about not making my brother's wedding all those years ago-which they scheduled on Dec 26 on the east coast. Duh. I wish I'd been there, but in addition to the travel times, we had no money to spend on a trip. It's just how it works.
