You should have a friend build it for you. It's cheaper ($500 for a reasonable CPU itself) and better. But who...but WHO?

I don't know but I saw a nice Toshiba Satellite for $999 the other day on bestbuy. But it seems like you're set on a desktop.

Yeah I don't think I'll need a laptop. I'll start to want to use it at school and before you know it, I'll be on MSN like 24 hours a day instead of my usual 23.

defintley go for a computer you picked the parts for. Get some help from somebody or the store owner, and bring that list of parts to other computer stores for pricing and pick the cheapest :)
