do you believe that we are all innately good?

depends on how you define good. if good is truly wanting to do what's best for oneself and advancing society then we are. even though some people have some messed up ideas about what's best for themselves. i do not think people can all be innately anything though. good or bad. innately we are all good and bad in different ways and have a conscious choice each morning, whether we accept it or not, to be the best we can possibly be.
another way of looking at it is if good is civility then that is something we are taught and cannot be innate. without a structured learned society we all would rely on instincts as our basis for everything. are animals innately good? is good subjective? maybe what seems to be good is actually not in a big picture point of view.

I think good and bad are learned terms. If we didn't have bad or evil, we would have no scale by which to judge what good is. That bad has to come from somewhere, and that somewhere is humans. Does that make any sense?
