Yeah, hungover scenes are always fun. And I from what I've seen, this cast is pretty good with them. I was tempted to do more with hungover Britta, but it wasn't really needed for the chapter.
Ugh, Jagermeister shots. No wonder he's so hungover. Those will get you EVERY TIME.
I really felt for Jeff here, not just his worry over that he upset Annie, but his sadness over his current lot in life. Hopefully Annie will be able to help him get through it.
And if that brought the two of them closer... emotionally... physically, well then that was just a price she would have to pay.
Haha. Oh, the sacrifice she's willing to make. ;-)
Yeah, she's a regular old saint, isn't she? So prepared to go out of her way to be altruistic. ;o)
I'm glad you're feeling bad for Jeff, too. And not just for the Jäger. I'm trying to imbue more of a state of melancholia in him, rather than anger and bitterness. He's finding himself slipping into that rut, and not fighting what he sees as his pointless existence.
I *loved* the bit about hangovers lasting longer the older you get--that's a little tidbit nobody tells you until it's waaaay too late and you're still on the couch at 8pm the next day. I also really enjoy the way you're writing the friendships, very authentic and adds excellent realistic atmosphere.
Isn't it unfair? That as soon as you figure out how to handle drinking responsibly (for the most part), your body rebels and screws you over completely?
Anyway, I figure that Jeff, as the health freak he is, would be well aware of how to best deal with the morning after, unless thIngs ge out of control
Glad you're enjoying.the friendship scenes. I didnt want to write something that deals with just Jeff and Annie, and I'm going to try getting as many of the inter-group relationships as I can.
Yeah, I figured that, having made Britta a Jeff/Annie supporter, I need someone who might not be happy with the idea. Shirley definitely fits the bill. Though it may be that other people raise objections too, in different ways.
I only really realized that Jeff and Annie have barely interacted when I finished this chapter. So that's somethIng I will remedy as soon as I can.
