Annual Paid Holiday Increases

"Statutory annual leave entitlement will be increased in two stages, rising from 20 to 24 days on 1 October 2007, and from 24 to 28 days on 1 October 2008."
Bank holidays will also no longer be allowed to count towards people's holidays.

thats good holidayage tho, more than i get actually and im vaugely public sector!

Sorry, i was a bit ambiguous. I was refering to it not applying to people who aren't employed, or who already get more holiday than 24 days a year.
This change in law applies to all employers, not just public sector. If your work isn't giving you 24 days holiday (and these can't be held on bank holidays - they're seperate now) by october the 1st, they're breaking the law.
If they query this, i can dig out the relevant proof if needed.
