This piece is only 125 words long, and was written basically to make me happy - because I didn't like what happened in The Long Con So anyway, this is a first paragraph of something that may go somewhere, and may not. I'm not really a fan of writing into the future of shows, unless that show is off the air, so probably, if I do decide to finish this it won't be until the season is over. Until then, it stands alone. And now the introduction is longer than the piece, so, I will let you read on:
It was always hard to meet Kate’s angry gaze. Sure, he had been conning people since he moved out of his adoptive father’s house twenty years before. And sure, he had almost loved one of his cons before. But in the end, he had conned her out of her $600,000, and eliminated her from his life, and his thoughts. But this was different. He had loved Kate, or at least James Ford had. And unlike his previous cons, he couldn’t just get her out of his life. They were stuck on a mostly deserted island together, and after his disastrous raft trip, he didn’t see any real chance of that changing any time soon. He had to see her every day. And he loved her.
