Yesterday, invited me to the Red Sox game so of course I went. At the top of the ninth inning we were down by one run; so in case you are totally clueless about baseball like I was as of last year that means we have one more chance to bat before the game is over. What a fantastic day to be at a game. I can't imagine walking out of there early in a game with as much drama as yesterday that was still that close. Heck, I stretched my lunch out an extra 15 minutes just so that I could watch the bottom of the ninth from the elephant and castle.

And I hear you when that place goes wild. It is a special feeling to be a part of it. I've been lucky enough to be there for some very memorable games as well, including 4 walk off bombs in the last 4 years (Rico Brogna grand slam, Damon in the 11th inning after being down 10-2 at one point, Nomar's only shining moment of 2004 and the best one of all, Mueller in 2004 against the yanks).

Go sox! :)

It boggles my mind.... And they were rushing to beat the traffic, but were going to get caught in the Marathon traffic anyway, so once you're fucked, you might as well be "fucked and enjoying yourself" and not "fucked and missing the reason you came out in the first place"...

Loretta's walkoff is aired all of the time on the ads for the Red Sox on NESN as one of the highlights of the season. It was awesome to be there. I laugh every time I see it because I think of all of the people who are like "FUCK I LEFT EARLY" each time the ad pops up
