This is amazing. Gran was so bad ass and funny, and Joanna was completely in character. The magic stuff was brilliant as well: everything from the mirror to the ancient and watchful feel of the house to the spell book above the sink. All stunningly beautiful and complex in a simple, yet mind-blowing way. What, exactly, was that mirror meant to show anyway? Will Joanna continue to practice magic when she's older? Will she ever come back to the house with Sherlock? What about their meetings in the dreams and the mirror? Will he ever remember and will Joanna ever make the connection? Will there be any Sherlock/Joanna as the storyline progresses? I CANNOT wait for more.

[ominous voice] The fuuuuuuuture. Sort of. Not really. We'll get an answer to that one soon. :)

Will Joanna continue to practice magic when she's older?

That gets (mostly) answered in the new chapter!

Will she ever come back to the house with Sherlock?

Yes! But not under happy circumstances. In fact, it's gonna suck.

What about their meetings in the dreams and the mirror?

Some things in life will never be explained. This isn't quite one of them.

Oh, you. You're back. I have missed your writing so. I'm not actually in this fandom, haven't seen nearly enough of the show to be in it, but Elementary has made me interested in Holmes in all incarnations, and I will never not love your writing.

Witch!Joanna is also perfectly flawless. I love fantasy!AUs.
