Day 09-Favorite Episode
TRANSFORMERS PRIME EPISODE 23 -ONE SHALL FALL
MAN OH MAN OH MAN THIS EPISODE, GUYS. IT IS SIMPLY EPIC. It's got everything-angst, battles, an unhinged Megatron, Optimus Prime on the warpath (he's come for your faces and you'd better RUN), Knockout examaning his nails in the background...er, wait, ignore that last thing. Even though it was pretty ffunny. As was Ratchet laughing at an lolcat.
And this episode does something I would never expect a Transformers cartoon to do. The movies, sure, but the cartoon? And that is...
ONE OF THE HUMAN CHILDREN THE AUTOBOTS ARE FRIENDS WITH NEARLY DIES.
Of the humans, Raf was the one I least expected to get hurt. Of course, since he's the youngest, I think him getting hurt demonstrates the "no one is safe" theme this episode seemed to have going on (think about it-would it been as much of an "OH NOES" situation if Jack, Miko, or heck, even June or Agent Fowler got hurt? No, it wouldn't.), but still. RAF IS A BABY LEAVE HIM ALONE. It did provide some more development for his and Bee's friendship, though, which I always like. So good out of bad? I just hope the Energon doesn't give him superhuman abilities or anything. We don't need a repeat of Sari, please and thank you.
THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT THIS EPISODE IS THAT IT ENDS WITH AN EPIC CLIFFHANGER. And we won't get to the next ep for a while as we've still got catching up to do with the Hub delaying the episodes for no reason at all. Gah, I hate it when shows do this. Well, it could be worse. The season could've ended with this episode and we'd have to wait until, what, November?-for the conclusion.
BUT ARGH I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.
Honorable Mentions for favorite episodes would be Animated's "Sari No One's Home, and Beast Wars' "Dark Designs", but this Prime episode beats them in sheer epicness, so there. Even though I still love 'em both. :D
