Everything's finally been taken care of, and Fuuka Enbu Jin is set to open bright and early Sunday morning. I'm thrilled to have everything finished, if only because it means I can make my house livable for more than cardboard boxes. I'm going to have to paint a few rooms, but that's a simple task compared to putting together the shop ( Read more... )

Oh, the poor things. I'm sorry. I'm a florist myself and I get very emotional when it comes to flowers.

It's always disappointing when something you've worked so hard on expires. At least you know of a few tricks that continue to put your flowers to use.

… and I’m curious. You actually eat the petals?

Of course. There are all kinds of thing you can make with roses - jams, syrups. teas... I've even had rose ice cream before; it's really nice in the summer. I just happen to prefer them candied.

How interesting. I've never heard of such a thing before and certainly wouldn't mind trying it for myself. Roses truly are more than just beauty.
